SINOPSIS
This year comes to Laroles Jorge Pardo, presenting Djinn, a concert where the “metaflamenco” is the main thing.
Jorge Pardo has long been accustomed to his followers to expect from him the unexpected.
Djinn shares the form, the band and the sound of “Historias De Radha y Krishna” but explores in the essence of the flamenco by the greatest of the “cante” to take it beyond the confines of its current borders. Hammond organs, keyboards with acid sounds, blunt drums, electric bass and flamenco guitars join Saxos and flutes (sometimes processed) and the contributions of DJs and producers close to electronics working with samples of old cantes or collaborations close to soul.
Colors and shapes for a canvas of music, as always mottled by the creative and interpretive freedom that Pardo represents from the beginning.
A music rich in nuances, succulent in its foundation and sublime in its contents. The experience of the musician in his own music, embracing the Jazz and dyed the feeling of flamenco, is transformed into a contemporary urban music that lodges the most intimate pulse of the daily space-time of Pardo.
